Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an Interior Designer to join a multi-disciplinary team and work on a 2.0+ million sq ft healthcare facility at Mayo Clinic’s campus. You’ll support programming through construction administration and assist with interior finishes, FFE, and documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Interior Design or related field, at least 2 years of experience, and a strong portfolio. Travel is required; NCIDQ preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
  • Strong portfolio and communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics and organizational skills.
  • Travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, assist the design team in all project phases including Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
  • Assist with furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) selection, layout and specification throughout all phases of interior design work.
  • Assist in the design development and documentation of interior spaces with drawings and finishes.
  • Conduct research for product and finish selections and develop finish plans and specifications.
  • Familiarize with building and life safety codes and apply to interior design work.
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials and computerized renderings.
  • Produce drawings and support project time, cost and quality constraints.
  • Follow CannonDesign drawing standards and assist in material selection.
  • Order samples and maintain interior design library; update materials as needed.
  • Learn, research, and explore the interior design field; perform other duties as required.
