Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an interior design professional to contribute to a large healthcare project. The role involves supporting design teams across all project phases, including programming, schematic design, and construction administration.

You will assist with furniture, fixtures and equipment selection and develop interior drawings and finish plans. Qualified candidates have a 2+ year background in interior design, a strong portfolio, and solid communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
• Strong portfolio and communication, teamwork, presentation and organizational skills.
• Travel required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the design team through all project phases from programming to construction administration.
• Support furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) selection, layout and specifications.
• Create interior design drawings including floor plans, reflected ceilings, elevations and finishes.
• Research finishes and materials to inform finish plans.
• Ensure adherence to building codes and life-safety requirements in interior design work.
• Prepare presentation materials and renderings for client reviews.
• Produce drawings and support project time, cost and quality constraints.
