Job summary

Confluence Health in Wenatchee, WA seeks an experienced Billing Clerk to process insurance billings accurately and on time. You will work withEpic and HealthCareIP, attach EOBs, code coverage records, and follow up on unpaid claims while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in basic math functions.
• Possesses basic computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing).
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Process assigned Workqueues in Epic and HealthCareIP daily.
• Attach the appropriate primary EOB and submit secondary/tertiary claims.
• Code insurance information in Revenue Cycle system within 24 hours of receipt.
• Maintain and reprocess errors in workqueues; follow up on unpaid or incorrectly paid claims.
• Submit corrected claims and process appeals as needed; handle write-offs per policy.
• Review medical records when necessary and resubmit with documentation.
• Document all actions in patient accounts; research and process refunds or adjustments.
• Stay current with payer requirements; participate in payer meetings and process improvements.
• Assist in other areas of the department as needed; respond to inquiries politely.
