Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians is seeking a Patient Service Representative II to collect accurate demographic and insurance data, schedule appointments, and handle payments with a strong customer-service focus.

You will entry patient information into the EMR, manage referrals, and support daily operations in a fast-paced primary care setting. The role requires at least 1 year in customer service, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
• Minimum: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments by phone or in person, coordinating with provider availability.
• Verify patient demographic information and current insurance details.
• Collect co-pays and outstanding balances.
• Ensure patient encounter data is complete and ready for entry into the EMR/charge system.
• Complete daily close-out procedures and referrals/pre-certifications as needed.
• Assist with patient records filing and correspondence and maintain courteous patient interactions.
