Job summary

Altais Health Solutions is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will partner with leaders to deliver insights and drive informed decisions across California-based operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or economics.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis, or a related finance role.
• Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably within a health plan, managed care organization, or medical group.
• Experience with cost allocations, cost accounting, expense distribution methodologies, or departmental cost analysis.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Experience analyzing financial performance, investigating variances, and communicating results to business leaders.
• Proven experience using databases, Word and Access, PowerPoint required.
• Expert in Microsoft Excel, rudimentary understanding of databases and different data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual operating budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes in partnership with business and operational leaders.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year.
• Build and maintain financial models to support business cases and scenario planning.
• Partner with Accounting on month-end close and reconciliation of financial results.
• Partner with department leaders to understand business needs, evaluate financial performance, and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate financial reporting and forecasting processes.
• Support ad hoc analysis and presentations for executive leadership and the Board.
