Job summary

Mercy Hospital System is seeking a skilled Facility Systems Technician to operate, maintain, and repair boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and related systems across Mercy locations. The role emphasizes safety, patient care environments, and high-quality facility support.

The candidate will work with minimal supervision to support small and midsize hospitals and clinics, ensuring an exceptional Environment of Care and strong customer service at Mercy.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced knowledge of boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical distribution, control system maintenance and operation, plumbing, and painting.
• Education: None
• Licensure requirements for multiple Mercy locations including boiler/operator licenses and EPA Universal Certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair electrical/plumbing systems, movable equipment, physical plant equipment, furniture, walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication to support safe Environment of Care.
• Complete training and maintain certifications within specified timelines.
