Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking an Engineering/Facilities Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across interior and exterior building areas. You will handle surfaces, flooring, lighting, and office setups while assisting with minor work orders to keep the facility in optimal condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years’ experience in some type of engineering/facilities maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old with minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the type of vehicle being driven.
• Must have a satisfactory driving record, as defined by: no more than one (1) accident and two (2) moving violations or two (2) accidents and one (1) violation or no accidents and three (3) violations in past 36 months.
• Must complete a defensive driving course within the first 90 days of employment and yearly thereafter.
• Drives an organization owned vehicle as a part of their job and is considered a Category A driver.

Responsibilities

• Building Maintenance: repairs interior and exterior surfaces, plaster, wallboard, flooring, and ceiling tiles.
• Shelving and Fixture Installation: hang/install shelving, signage, pictures, fixtures.
• Office Moves and Setups: coordinate/move furniture and equipment for relocations.
• Work order completion: respond to and complete minor maintenance requests and obtain supplies as needed.
