Job summary

Mirasol Family Health Center in Hermiston, OR is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support hospital facilities and grounds. You will perform HVAC troubleshooting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks, and janitorial duties on a busy health campus.

Successful candidates have a high school diploma, 1 year of maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license. The role includes on-call shifts, safety-inspection documentation, and coordination with vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of building maintenance experience.
• First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
• Forklift operator's license required if Procurement is involved.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance.
• Pre-employment physical assessment.
• Participation in the maintenance on-call schedule.
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
• Ability to read construction documents such as As-Build drawings and O&M manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC troubleshooting and general HVAC maintenance (filters, belts, etc.).
• General maintenance: carpentry, plumbing, light electrical, minor masonry.
• Landscape grounds and perform snow/ice removal as needed.
• Dispose of medical and hazardous waste per regulations.
• Assist in construction projects and coordinate contractor access.
• Manage building security and access control systems per clinic directions.
• Oversee vendor-maintained HVAC, electrical, roofing, and related systems.
• Maintain company vehicles to standards and document safety inspections.
• Ensure designated areas are cleaned and maintained per guidelines.
• Daily janitorial duties and immediate cleanup tasks as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
