Job summary

DHR Health is seeking a Technician I for Full Time Day shift in Engineering/ Maintenance. The role covers offsite locations and hospital facilities under the direction of the Director of Engineering.

The position requires High School/GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of related experience. Candidates must read and follow written instructions and communicate effectively with nursing staff, administration and physicians.

Qualifications

• One year experience in maintenance or related field.
• Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by communicating them to others.
• Works shifts as needed/assigned - variable
• Painting, spackling, textures, walls, floors, and related maintenance work.
• Cleans and maintains paint area and accessories.
• Maintains and documents record system of patient rooms and painting pm’s.
• Performs carpentry – dry wall – steel framing - repairs or projects.
• Organizes spare parts and supply inventory.
• Makes minor repairs to equipment and fixtures and cleans equipment.
• Participates in Emergency Preparedness Plans.
• Assists in projects – wall mountings or repairs – as required.
• Follows and documents OSHA/TDH guidelines in this area.
• Works with Engineering as directed.
• Stays aware of surroundings and reports hospital conditions during rounds.
• Adheres to privacy and security policies (HIPAA).
• Works to provide a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Other duties as assigned
