Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center seeks an Operating Engineer to operate and maintain hospital plant equipment on assigned shifts. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and ensure compliance with safety and reporting standards.

The role requires experience in hospital environments, ability to work evenings/nights/weekends, and a valid driver’s license. Relocation assistance may be provided, and training is available to meet LME requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and plant systems analysis.
• Undertakes continuing education and on‑the‑job training in operating engineer disciplines.
• Willing to work evenings, nights and weekends.

• Operate and maintain hospital plant equipment on assigned shift.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Submit logs and reports; document logs and forms.
• Train others in procedures and emergency response as needed.
