Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center seeks an Engineering/Facilities Technician to perform general maintenance across interior and exterior spaces, ensuring a well-functioning facility for patient care. The role includes repairs, installations, and coordinating office moves while upholding safety and quality standards.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least two years in facilities maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and a defensive driving course within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years’ experience in engineering/facilities maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old with minimum two years’ experience in the type of vehicle being driven.
• Defensive driving course within the first 90 days of employment and yearly thereafter.
• Drives an organization owned vehicle as a part of their job and is considered a Category A driver.

Responsibilities

• Building maintenance: repairs interior/exterior surfaces, plaster, wallboard, flooring, ceiling tiles and surfaces to maintain a clean professional appearance.
• Shelving and fixture installation: hang/install shelving units, signage, pictures and other fixtures.
• Office moves and setups: coordinate and move furniture and equipment for relocations.
• Work order completion: respond to and complete minor maintenance requests and procure supplies as needed.
