Job summary

Stony Brook University seeks a Project Manager for the Facilities Planning Department to provide planning and implementation services for hospital facilities projects across multiple Long Island locations. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage several projects concurrently.

Responsibilities include developing design and construction plans, coordinating FF&E schedules, and maintaining comprehensive project records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 5 years’ experience in hospital facilities planning or facilities and construction project management, or in lieu of degree, 10 years’ experience in hospital facilities planning or facilities and construction project management.
• Knowledge of NYSDOH, FGI, CMS, TJC and other regulatory processes.
• Experience using ProjectMates or other project management software.
• An active NY State Driver's License.
• Verification of degree (e.g., diploma or official transcript) required for this role; documentation must be uploaded with application.

Responsibilities

• Provide project planning and implementation services for Stony Brook Medicine projects across multiple locations.
• Develop and coordinate design and construction plans for assigned projects.
• Produce project management and construction management for trades and contract labor, tracking time and materials within funding constraints.
• Maintain complete project documentation and provide bi-monthly status briefings to the Associate Director, Facilities Planning.
• Coordinate meetings with contractors and vendors to track progress and schedule.
