Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine seeks an Associate Facilities Program Coordinator to lead construction and renovation efforts for the hospital and Health Sciences Center. You will coordinate across multiple units, manage budgets, schedules, and compliance with codes while liaising with engineers, architects and vendors to deliver projects on time.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 10 years’ related experience) and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of new construction/renovation experience, or 10 years with 5 years supervisory experience.
• Effective communication with vendors, user groups, leadership, design firms and contractors in healthcare settings.
• Experience with out-of-ground construction projects and major capital renovations.

Responsibilities

• Provide project and construction management for new construction and renovations within funding constraints and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and administrators to ensure work meets codes and quality standards.
• Manage RFQs, RFPs, contracts, and procurement while tracking change orders and budget.
