Job summary

Stony Brook University is seeking an Associate Facilities Program Coordinator within Campus Planning, Design, and Construction. The role provides direction for all new construction and renovation projects, including labor planning, cost estimates, and coordinating with unions, trades, and consultants to deliver projects on schedule.

You will supervise vendors, maintain capital project files, generate reports, and ensure conformance with NY codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of directly related experience.
• Five years of full-time related experience in construction management.
• Supervisory experience in minor rehabilitation and new construction.
• Knowledge of Building and Fire Codes.
• Experience with construction management software (Procore, E-Builder, Primavera, etc.).
• Project management experience.
• Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent capital construction projects from scope through closeout.
• Supervise vendors and trade personnel, including oversight of all trades in all facets of project progression.
• Maintain Capital Project documentation and project schedules.
• Provide accurate reports forecasting to project completion.
• Generate estimates and track time and materials to meet time constraints.
• Order construction materials and equipment through procurement on a project basis.
• Develop and manage construction project schedules, cost analysis, and project accounting.
