Job summary

Stony Brook University Medical Center is seeking a Project Manager, Construction to join the Project Management Office. You will oversee hospital construction and renovation efforts, ensuring programs are delivered on time and within budget while meeting technical requirements.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, architects, and contractors, managing RFQs/RFPs, and upholding safety and regulatory standards across SBUMC facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 7+ years of construction experience, or 10+ years with 5+ years supervision.
• Experience managing new construction, renovations and alterations in healthcare settings.
• Strong communication with vendors, user groups, executive leadership and design teams.
• Hands-on experience with fire safety standards and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and coordination for hospital construction and renovation projects.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and procurement in accordance with NYS guidelines.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and administrators to ensure code compliance.
• Lead meetings with contractors and vendors to track progress.
