Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Facilities Planning Project Manager to lead project planning, space planning, and construction coordination across multiple Long Island locations. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 10 years’ alternative experience) and 5+ years in hospital facilities planning or PM, with knowledge of regulatory processes and PM software.

The position emphasizes independent work, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 5 years’ experience in hospital facilities planning or facilities and construction project management, or in lieu of degree, 10 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of NYSDOH, FGI, CMS, TJC and other regulatory processes.
• Experience using ProjectMates or other project management software.
• Active NY State Driver's License.
• Verification of degree is required for this role; upload of documentation must be included with your application.

Responsibilities

• Provide project planning and implementation services for Stony Brook Medicine projects across multiple locations.
• Develop and coordinate design and construction plans for assigned projects.
• Provide project and construction management to trades and contract labor; track time and materials within budget and schedules.
• Maintain complete project documentation and provide bi-monthly status briefings to the Associate Director.
