Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a seasoned Project/Facilities Manager to provide engineering oversight and real property stewardship across multiple construction projects. You will coordinate with local and state officials, act as the contracting officer, and manage budgets and schedules to achieve timely, on-budget outcomes.

The role requires a four-year degree in a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience; PMP is preferred and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project/construction management, engineering, architecture or related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years' post-academic experience managing design and construction phases for projects.
• Professional licensure preferred; PMP certification preferred; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional engineering and architectural oversight, construction procurement, and real property stewardship.
• Meet with local and state officials, fire marshals, and health departments as needed.
• Act as Owner's contracting officer with advanced negotiation skills; select contracting options.
• Lead multiple facilities projects simultaneously, ensuring cost, schedule and scope adherence.
• Develop budgets, track progress, and communicate project status to leadership.
• Ensure user group needs are addressed during design and construction phases; coordinate with internal and external teams.
