Job summary

National Health Care Associates (National) is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support the daily upkeep and safety of our facility in Wethersfield. This role will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks to ensure reliable operation of equipment and systems throughout the center.

The position involves exterior grounds work, routine inspections, and collaboration with nursing, housekeeping, and administration to address maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Must have maintenance knowledge and practical skills.
• Experience in facilities maintenance in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry repairs.
• Maintain exterior grounds: landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, outdoor maintenance.
• Perform inspections on facility equipment: elevators, generators, fire safety systems.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; replenish as needed.
• Collaborate with Nursing, Housekeeping, and Administration to address maintenance issues.
