Job summary

The role supports the Facilities Department in overall maintenance of facilities, equipment, and minor construction, performing repairs and supervising related activities to maintain safety and code compliance. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, overseeing contractors, inventory, staff training, and ensuring confidentiality and privacy in services across clinics and central offices.

Qualifications

• Three years related work experience.
• Communication skills using written and spoken word.
• Good interpersonal skills demonstrable in interactions with staff, patients and visitors.
• Familiar with computer systems and ability to work with electronic facilities management software.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety roles, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to define problems, and resolve them quickly.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision coordinates work to keep offices and clinics compliant with regulations.
• Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
• Performs preventive building maintenance and repairs, caulks windows and doors, fixes broken windows.
• Reviews work requests, sets priorities, delegates tasks and ensures safe completion.
• Installs, moves, repairs, and removes equipment and utilities within the building.
• Oversees outside contractors as needed.
• Provides training to new and existing employees.
• Maintains clean, safe work areas and adheres to safety regulations.
• Conducts inventory of fixed assets and supplies; collaborates with Finance.
• Performs in-service trainings for staff.
