Job summary

Aston Group is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and repairs for facilities and equipment in a healthcare setting. You will handle plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling tasks, snow removal, and routine cleaning as needed.

The role requires working across shifts, following maintenance schedules, and coordinating with nursing services for tasks in resident areas. Strong tool skills and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for respective shift or area.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine tasks in resident living areas.
• Use large floor cleaning devices to buff or mop.
• Inspect equipment or machines to identify repair needs.
• Troubleshoot issues to determine repairs.
• Plan repair work using blueprints or equipment manuals as needed.
• Perform general repairs (drywall, painting, doors, plumbing, basic electrical).
• Run routine maintenance checks on building systems.
• Keep facility clean and maintained.
