Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking a Facilities Engineer to ensure comfort and reliable operation of the hospital's physical plant. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, emergency power, boiler plant, and safety systems.

The position requires experience in maintenance, relevant licenses, and the ability to operate the Facilities Management system. Rounds, shift work, and record-keeping are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Boiler Fireman, Grade 4 License, or Grade III Seattle Steam License required or must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Two years of experience in maintenance related functions required. Healthcare experience desired.
• Formal training on HVAC, electrical systems or other technical areas highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment; perform daily rounds.
• Maintain records of maintenance work orders and spare parts.
• Safely operate power tools and use hand tools as needed.
• Be familiar with emergency plans and respond appropriately.
