Job summary

MultiCare is seeking an Operation Engineer II to join our Facility Operations team. You will oversee the safe operation of boilers, HVAC, pumps, emergency generators and related systems across facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient service delivery.

This role requires hands-on experience with steam, HVAC and electrical systems, plus the ability to manage workload, perform rounds and lead maintenance tasks within hospital environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Must have strong knowledge of steam, HVAC, and basic electrical systems.
• Experience with building mechanical/electrical systems and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient operation of boilers, HVAC, pumps, generators and related equipment.
• Ensure hospital infrastructure complies with regulations.
• Monitor work orders and assign tasks for timely completion.
• Perform boiler room and steam distribution tasks and rounds of machine rooms.
• Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory and environmental standards.
