MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is seeking an Engineer II to perform comprehensive building maintenance across all utility systems and medical-support infrastructure. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and reliable operations within a hospital setting.

The engineer will conduct preventative maintenance, perform mechanical, HVAC, electrical tasks, and report safety issues. Strong troubleshooting and collaboration with leadership are required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; trade/tech education preferred.
Minimum of five years’ experience in building maintenance; mechanical, HVAC or electrical repair experience required.
Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance are required.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance within the allotted time frame.
Maintain electrical, HVAC, boiler, plumbing, and basic construction repairs.
Assist with department operations and deliver excellent service to improve facility appearance and function.
Inspect buildings, equipment and safety systems to identify and correct deficiencies.
Respond to emergencies involving utility failures, life safety, and security.
Operate Computerized Building Management Systems and related controls.
