MultiCare is seeking an Operation Engineer I to support facility operations across our health system. You will oversee boilers, HVAC, pumps and power systems to ensure safe, reliable service for patients and staff.

The role requires strong technical experience, a Tacoma-area license or ability to obtain, and EMCS/computer proficiency, with on-call duties and variable shifts as part of a hands-on operations team.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• City of Tacoma Operating Engineer License (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Medical gas ASSE 6040 certifications obtained within 18 months of hire.
• Accomplished in steam, HVAC, and basic electrical related to plant operations and maintenance.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in operations and maintenance of building mechanical and electrical systems.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with Computer and EMCS.
• Valid Washington State driver's license and safe driving record.

Mansioni

• Oversee safe and efficient operations of gas and electric boilers, HVAC, air compressors, pumps, emergency generators, and other equipment.
• Engage technical expertise with independent problem solving and attention to detail.
• Perform tasks pertaining to boiler room and steam distribution system.
• Conduct rounds and inspections of machine rooms and roof areas.
• Communicate effectively with the team and maintain service-oriented attitude.
