Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Hospital Engineer - Facilities to maintain a large variety of plant equipment and healthcare systems on-site. This Full Time role requires ensuring safety, code compliance, and a healing environment for patients and staff.

Candidates should have 3+ years in hospital or industrial maintenance, with building/plant training and an Associate Degree preferred. Proficiency across plumbing, HVAC, steam, control systems, and refrigeration is expected.

Qualifications

• One year of building/plant maintenance training or equivalent experience required.
• Associate Degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hospital/industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and utility systems in a safe, code-compliant environment.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies affecting life safety and non-medical systems.
• Perform daily rounds and coordinate with vendors to ensure quality work.
• Oversee outside contractor work to meet hospital standards.
• Document activities to promote efficient maintenance operations.
