Job summary

MultiCare Health System seeks an Operation Engineer II to join the Facility Operations team in the Puya llup area. You will ensure safe, reliable operation of boilers, HVAC, and hospital infrastructure while supporting regulatory compliance and timely work order execution.

The role calls for 4+ years in building mechanical/electrical operations, with opportunities to lead in specialized hospital settings. On‑site, 1.0 FTE, 8‑hour shifts with variable scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in steam, HVAC, and basic electrical related to plant operations and maintenance.
• Minimum four years of experience in building mechanical and electrical systems operations/maintenance.
• Ability to obtain City license as needed within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient operation of boilers, HVAC, pumps, generators and other systems.
• Ensure facility infrastructure complies with regulations.
• Monitor and assign work orders for timely completion.
• Perform boiler room and steam distribution tasks.
• Conduct rounds and inspections of machine rooms and roof areas.
