Job summary

Health First in Florida seeks a Construction Coordinator to lead planning, design, management and contracting of construction and related projects across the IDN, aligning with budget and performance goals. You will coordinate interfaces among architects, engineers and contractors, manage contracts and change orders, and deliver timely reports while supporting cost-saving initiatives.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in business/healthcare or related field, 2 years PM/purchasing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Building Services, Construction, or related field.
• Two years’ experience in project management, vendor relationships and purchasing.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Financial acumen and cost-savings mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develops project schedules, tracks progress through all phases, and keeps projects on budget and on schedule.
• Coordinates interfaces between architects, engineers, GC and consultants; communicates with IDN stakeholders throughout planning, design and construction.
• Reviews and administers contracts, change orders, amendments and additional services.
• Coordinates facility shutdowns with Facilities; may require overtime to support projects or emergencies.
• Oversees post-construction closeout, turnover and warranty monitoring.
• Prepares and delivers reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing project cost and schedule data.
• Assists with budgeting and payable processes, forecasts, analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions for contracted services.
• Engages leadership on cost savings initiatives and conversions, using benchmark data to identify impact.
• Coordinates design schedules, bids, and procurement from GCs and providers for furniture, signage and equipment.
• Negotiate vendor pricing and ensure contracts meet Health First guidelines and are uploaded into the repository.
• Coordinates purchase orders and invoices for capital and operational expenses.
