Job summary

Powerlink seeks a skilled Dietary Cook to join our Foodservice Operations team. The cook will prepare meals per recipes, manage production and inventory, and ensure safety and sanitation in a healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of long-term care cooking experience, English proficiency, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays. Certification is preferred to support safe, therapeutic meal preparation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of experience as a cook in long-term care or healthcare.
• Proficient in English (read, write, speak).
• Able to work weekends and holidays with flexible hours.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Background in safety and sanitation compliance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day.
• Must be local to Phoenix, AZ area.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion meals following recipes and therapeutic diets.
• Maintain production control and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure kitchen safety, sanitation, and proper equipment use.
• Assist in ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
• Keep a clean, safe work area and support dietary aides.
