Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a driven Concierge Services Associate to provide central referral support for physicians and services, ensuring top-tier customer service. You will schedule patient appointments, verify coverage, and manage communications with referring physicians.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in healthcare settings, strong communication skills, and familiarity with medical terminology. This role supports clinic operations with a focus on patient experience and system

Qualifications

• Requires two to three years’ experience in a physician office or health care setting.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology, medical specialties and patient care patterns.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provides central referral for physicians and services to ensure high level of customer service.
• Schedules patient appointments with referring providers.
• Responds to physician referrals, service referrals, and wellness programs in a professional manner.
• Coordinates outpatient appointments with clinic managers and schedulers to meet patient needs.
• Verifies insurance coverage and enters patient information into scheduling systems.
• Escalates access and service issues to leadership to ensure client satisfaction.
