Job summary

Omega Healthcare Management Services is seeking a senior coding supervisor to oversee day-to-day coding and abstracting activities across IP, OP, and ProFee. You will guide staff, manage schedules, and coordinate training to ensure accurate coding and timely reimbursements.

The role requires leadership, deep knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, and multiple EHRs, with AHIMA certification preferred. You will liaise with clients and internal departments to drive quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of advanced training.
• Experience in Epic, Cerner, 3M, Optum CAC (or any other CAC) required.
• Expertise in Coding (IP, OP & ProFee).
• Experience with multiple EHRs.
• At least 2 years lead experience; minimum 5 years coding experience.
• AHIMA certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and direction of coding/abstracting activities.
• Oversee scheduling, training, payroll monitoring, and performance improvement processes.
• Serve as primary contact for coders and coordinate education on coding, documentation, and reimbursement issues.
• Monitor and approve time off requests and time worked; set work schedules.
• Respond to data/report requests from Client, physicians, and internal customers.
• Ensure month-end coding activity aligns with client timelines and closures.
• Maintain knowledge of AHIMA standards, HIPAA, and regulatory changes; ensure compliance.
• Lead weekly metrics reporting and support management reviews.
