Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners seeks a Coding Supervisor to lead day-to-day coding activities for acute care or physician facilities. You will support the Coding Manager and Senior Leader to ensure AR and DNB goals are met.

The role combines leadership, education, and technical coding expertise in a remote-capable environment. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of coding experience in pro-fee or acute care, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of DRGs/APR-DRGs, HIPAA coding guidelines, and EMR

Qualifications

• 3 years of coding experience in pro-fee or acute care settings including inpatients, outpatients, and ED records.
• Leadership experience
• Anatomy and physiology knowledge
• Understanding of DRGs and APR-DRGs
• Knowledge of medical record content and coding guidelines
• Ability to work independently under deadlines and in teams
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding and process improvements

Responsibilities

• Staffing, organizing and directing coding activities within a facility under the Coding Manager.
• Create and deliver educational materials related to coding.
• Monitor progress toward coding goals and report to leadership.
• Monitor workflow, productivity and quality of coding and abstracting per guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of federal and state coding rules.
• Assist in developing policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance.
• Serve as site resource for coding questions for medical staff and management.
• Prepare staff schedules and manage PTO compliance.
• Resolve technical issues impacting coding operations.
• Assign codes per AHA guidelines and DRG logic when needed.
