Job summary

DCH Health System is seeking a Coding Supervisor to lead the Medical Coding Team under the Manager of Physician Services. You will supervise daily activities, mentor CPC/CCS/CCS-P/RCC coders, and ensure accuracy, productivity, and policy adherence across ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS workflows.

The role demands strong leadership, a solid understanding of coding guidelines, and the ability to onboard new staff, conduct audits, and communicate effectively with clinical offices and physicians.

Qualifications

• Hold Certification as CPC, CCS, CCS-P, or RCC.
• Minimum of 1 year of coding experience using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS Level II in physician coding.
• In-depth knowledge of coding processes, software, workflow management and EMRs.
• Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and Official Coding Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of the coding team and feedback to the Manager.
• Lead onboarding of new staff in coding and charges.
• Provide ongoing coaching to improve performance and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with third-party coding audits and communicate concerns to clinical offices and physicians.
• Schedule quarterly Coding Team meetings and foster teamwork.
