Job summary

Omega Healthcare Management Services seeks a seasoned coding leadership professional to oversee coding and abstracting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery. The role drives internal training, validation programs, and performance improvements across the team.

You will partner with clients and clinical staff to resolve coding, documentation and reimbursement challenges, while maintaining AHIMA standards and regulatory adherence in a remote work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with CCS; AHIMA RHIA/RHIT/CCS credentials.
• 5+ years coding management in facility setting; offshore model experience preferred.
• AHIMA certification (RHIA/RHIT/CCS) required or equivalent.
• Proficient in HIPAA and regulatory compliance across the revenue cycle.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and data-driven decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all duties of coding staff and abstracting activities.
• Develop and manage internal/external coding validation programs.
• Provide monthly performance feedback and education to staff.
• Prepare monthly productivity and quality reports for clients.
• Ensure compliance with AHIMA standards and applicable regulations.
• Manage budgets, SLAs, and staffing to meet client goals.
• Coordinate staff meetings and communication on regulatory changes.
• Provide leadership in coding, reimbursement, and data reporting.
