Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Coding Analyst to support the professional coding function through data analysis, operational reporting, and workflow optimization. The role develops and maintains coding dashboards, monitors metrics, and provides insights to enhance revenue cycle performance.

Ideal candidates have CPC certification, 5+ years in coding or revenue cycle, advanced Excel skills, and experience with Athena or similar EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPC certification (AAPC) or other AAPC certification.
• Minimum 5 years coding or revenue cycle experience.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Experience with Athena or similar EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain coding performance dashboards and reports.
• Analyze coding quality, denial trends, and reimbursement outcomes.
• Support workflow design and vendor performance management.
• Evaluate technology, automation, and AI-assisted coding solutions.
• Collaborate with coding leadership, IT, vendors, and stakeholders.
