Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Coding Analyst to support the professional coding function through data analysis, dashboards, and workflow optimization. You will monitor metrics, identify opportunities, and partner with IT and operations to drive improvements.

Responsibilities include analyzing coding quality, payer changes, and reimbursement outcomes while supporting vendor performance and automation initiatives. Strong Excel, EHR experience, and AAPC credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPC certification (AAPC) or other AAPC certification
• Minimum 5 years coding or revenue cycle experience
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Experience with Athena or similar EHR systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain coding performance dashboards and operational reports.
• Analyze coding quality, productivity, denial trends, and payer policies.
• Provide actionable insights to support revenue cycle performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with coding leadership, IT, and operations to optimize workflows.
