Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support healthcare capital improvement, renovation, and construction within active facilities in Phoenix, AZ.

You will coordinate design and construction activities and work closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and hospital stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. The role requires 4+ years of healthcare-focused project experience, strong communication, and proficiency with PM software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, building sciences, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant project management, construction management, or project engineering experience.
• Experience across design and construction phases of complex facility projects.
• Working knowledge of budgets, schedules, change management, contracts, and project controls.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Support the project manager in the planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout of healthcare capital projects.
• Assist with coordination among architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, facilities teams, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor design and construction activities for compliance with contract requirements, project objectives, quality standards, and applicable requirements.
• Assist with project budgets, forecasts, schedules, cost reporting, change orders, purchase orders, invoices, and contractor pay applications.
• Track project milestones, risks, action items, and escalate any potential concerns related to cost, schedule, quality, or operationsl concerns.
• Support project meetings and maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, logs, and project correspondence.
• Review project documentation such as drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change requests, and contractor documentation.
• Assist with procurement, bid evaluations, contractor coordination, and contract administration.
• Support construction activities within active healthcare environments while minimizing impacts to patients, staff, facility operations, and continuity of care.
• Coordinate with project teams on commissioning, equipment installation or relocation, utility shutdowns, phased occupancy, and project turnover.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
