VITAS Healthcare Corporation is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to support the Care Connection Center. You will handle calls, screen requests, and coordinate staffing to ensure patient visits and program needs are met.

The role requires strong communication, high-volume call handling, and proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel. Weekend and holiday availability is often required to support operations.

Qualifications

• One year of prior customer service or call center experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed to support operations.
• Proficiency navigating automated systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process calls in a systematic, organized manner following scripts and policies.
• Screen incoming calls and escalate as needed.
• Monitor staffing needs and confirm assignments for programs; reassign staff as needed.
• Review staff availability to align patient needs with staffing.
• Provide proactive notifications of staffing shortfalls to CCC and Program Management.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation of activities.
