Qualifications

• Two or more years related experience in medical terminology and/or in a call center environment.
• Ability to attain goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to provide concierge level of service.
• Working knowledge of computers, internet, and navigating automated systems; 45 wpm typing.
• Team-oriented and ability to collaborate with leaders across functions.

Responsibilities

• Process new referrals by phone, email, fax and website inquiries.
• Follow up on pending patient charts daily.
• Verify Medicare/Medicaid hospice benefits.
• Notify managed care and insurance plans.
• Schedule admissions and provide appointment reports to Admissions Representatives.
• Explain hospice benefits and services to patients and families.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
• Support staffing and coverage for appointment needs.
• Provide training and mentoring to new team members.
