Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources, Inc. seeks a Medical Appointment Clerk for Mountain Home AFB in Mountain Home, Idaho.

The role schedules primary and specialty care appointments in a government system and communicates with patients to arrange, adjust, or cancel visits, including referrals to other facilities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months in medical scheduling, 50 WPM typing, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 50 WPM typing speed.
• Must speak and understand English clearly.
• Experience in medical office scheduling (≥6 months).
• Proficient with standard office equipment (PCs, copiers, fax, phones).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Sedentary work with occasional light physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments in government computer system for primary, specialty and subspecialty medical care.
• Call patients or respond to secure messaging to schedule, reschedule, and/or cancel appointments, including consult/referral care.
• Coordinate appointments within the MTF or at civilian facilities.
