Job summary

HCSC is seeking an Advanced Analytics Consultant to support and enhance engagements with our largest Commercial clients. You will apply SQL, R, Python, and data visualization tools to build dashboards and insights that illuminate plan costs and health drivers.

The role requires healthcare analytics experience, ability to present to C-Suite stakeholders, and collaboration across teams. A hybrid work model is offered with in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field OR Master’s degree in related field with 3 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field OR 9 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field
• Understanding, and being highly proficient at querying a wide variety of internal and external data sources to get meaningful insights.
• Performance excellence in computer languages, such as SQL, R, Python.
• Ability to create a dynamic and visually engaging dashboard leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• High degree of business intelligence and understanding how to take a business case from inception to customer or partner execution.
• Experience leading an analytic initiative to success.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Performance excellence in championing initiatives and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to bring the initiative to life.

Responsibilities

• Leverage strong technical skills (SQL, R, Python, Tableau/PowerBI, MS Azure, Databricks) to support client-facing engagements with HCSC’s largest Commercial customers.
• Provide analytic support and consultancy for population health and insurance initiatives.
• Communicate with and present to C-Suite stakeholders to elevate understanding of plan cost and health drivers.
• Scale and market impactful client engagements internally to broaden impact.
• Design and maintain standard data layers, develop coding standards and documentation for internal use cases.
