Job summary

HCSC is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant to leverage SQL, Python, R, and Tableau/Power BI to support population health initiatives for our largest Commercial clients. The role involves technical analysis, data modeling, and presenting insights to senior leaders in a hybrid setting.

The successful candidate will lead both external client engagements and internal projects, scale impactful work, and collaborate with management to drive strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance economics.
• Master’s degree with 4 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field.
• PhD with 2 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field.
• 10 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field.
• Expert understanding of querying healthcare data and population data (medical/pharmacy claims, EMR, provider databases, census data, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SQL, Python, R.
• Ability to create dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience leading analytic initiatives and presenting to C‑Suite Executives.

Responsibilities

• Analytic support and consultancy for HCSC's largest Commercial Clients and advisory for internal senior-leader stakeholders.
• Lead external client engagements and internal team projects to address business problems efficiently.
• Communicate with and present to C‑Suite stakeholders to elevate understanding of plan cost and health drivers.
• Scale and market impactful client engagements internally for broader impact.
• Design and maintain standard data layers; develop coding standards and documentation.
