Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and strong keyboarding skills required.
• Successful completion of HUC post-secondary program, or HUC Certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year working experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
• Working knowledge with EHR systems, EPIC preferred.
• Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units.
• Monitors and orders supplies and answers patient call lights promptly.
• Assists care team with managing orders in the EHR.
• Communicates effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Acts as a resource to health care team and participates in continuous improvement.
