Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units in Minnesota. The role includes monitoring supplies, answering call lights promptly, and assisting the care team with EHR order management.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, experience with EHR (EPIC preferred), and strong interpersonal, customer service, and multitasking skills in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a HUC post-secondary program or HUC certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year working experience in a medical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units.
• Monitor and order supplies, answer patient call lights promptly, and relay needs to nursing staff.
• Assist care team with managing orders in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and facility staff across the continuum of care.
