Mayo Clinic seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team. You will monitor supplies, answer call lights, and help manage orders in the EHR, coordinating with staff across care teams.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, post-secondary HUC program or certification, and familiarity with EHR systems (EPIC). Flexible availability including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HUC post-secondary program or certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year working experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency with computer skills; EPIC/EHR experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team.
• Monitor and order supplies; answer patient call lights and elevate patient needs to nursing staff.
• Assist the care team with managing orders in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff; support cross-continuum of care communication.
• Serve as a resource to team members and participate in continuous improvement activities.
