Mayo Clinic is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units. You will monitor supplies, answer call lights, and assist with managing orders in the EHR, helping the care team across the continuum of care.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and strong customer service. EPIC/EHR knowledge is preferred, with the flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong keyboarding skills and basic computer knowledge.
• Post-secondary HUC program or HUC Certification preferred; 1 year medical environment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EHR systems (EPIC) preferred.
• Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Maintain certifications/licensure per work unit requirements.

Aufgaben

• Provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team.
• Monitor and order supplies; promptly answer patient call lights and escalate patient needs to nursing staff.
• Assist care team with managing orders in the EHR and related systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and facility staff across the continuum of care.
• Serve as a resource to health care team members and utilize Mayo Clinic resources as needed.
• Work with good judgment, problem-solving, and self-development in the role.
