Job summary

Southview Acres Health Care Center in Minnesota is seeking a full-time Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to support daily operations and resident care. The HUC will transcribe orders, coordinate visits, manage referrals, and maintain accurate resident charts.

Applicants should hold an HUC certification or Medical Secretary certificate, demonstrate strong English communication, and be proficient with PCC and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Requires HUC certification or Medical Secretary certificate and English proficiency.
• High School diploma or GED required; PCC familiarity preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or senior living is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe physician orders accurately from admission to discharge.
• Coordinate visits, appointments and transportation for residents.
• Order labs and x-rays and manage referrals.
• Maintain resident charts for admission, discharge, and returns.
• Provide professional telephone support and act as unit receptionist.
