Job summary

Harmony Gardens in Maplewood, MN is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team in a full-time role. The HUC will coordinate information and provide administrative support to ensure residents and visitors have the best possible experience.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of medical terminology and prior HUC experience. Position type is full-time with typical hours 8:00am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a healthunit coordinator, or health information certification preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Accurate computer skills with Windows-based applications.
• Good time management in a fast-paced multi-task environment.
• PointClickCare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter physician orders with high accuracy.
• Schedule medical appointments and transportation.
• Maintain electronic medical records for census data.
• Provide ongoing customer service to residents, families and visitors.
• Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
• Complete additional tasks as needed.
