The role includes transcribing orders, coordinating visits and transportation, ordering labs and referrals, maintaining resident charts, answering calls, and serving as receptionist to keep care teams informed.

Candidates should have certification as HUC or Medical Secretary, English proficiency, High School diploma or GED,

Qualifications

• Certification as an HUC or Medical Secretary certificate.
• English speaking, reading, and writing proficiency required.
• High School diploma or GED completed.
• At least 1 year of healthcare or senior living experience.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe physician orders accurately from admission through discharge.
• Coordinate visits, appointments, and transportation with staff and physicians.
• Order labs and x-rays and manage referrals for appointments.
• Maintain resident charts; ensure forms are current and accessible.
• Participate in audits to uphold quality standards.
• Provide professional and timely telephone support.
• Serve as receptionist for the unit and facilitate communication across departments.
