Ideal candidates bring knowledge of medical terminology and prior HUC experience. Excellent customer service, strong communication, and Windows-based computer skills are essential in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a health unit coordinator or health information certification preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows-based applications.
• Time management skills for a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter physician orders with high accuracy.
• Schedule medical appointments and transportation.
• Maintain electronic medical records for census data.
• Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and visitors.
• Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
• Complete other tasks as requested.
