Job description

Pay: $160,000 - 175,000 a year + Travel Expenses.

About The Role

As a Health Services Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare services within a federally managed facility that provides care to individuals in U.S. government custody. Working in a secure, clinic environment, you will oversee daily operations, manage both clinical and administrative staff, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency. This position requires professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and a strong commitment to ethical care and regulatory compliance in a high-accountability setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate all healthcare services and administrative functions within the facility.
  • Supervise clinical, administrative, and support staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and oversee billing and reimbursement processes.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the facility and external stakeholders, including government agencies, vendors, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to patient care, staffing, and facility operations.
  • Respond to audits, inspections, and incident investigations as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of an accredited bachelor’s degree related field of study (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Must have three years of leadership experience.
  • Must have two years of management of programs and services experience.
  • The HSA shall maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and if the HSA holds a clinical license, it is their responsibility to fulfill the obligations of their licensing or certifying body to ensure continued status.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in correctional, military, or community health settings.
  • Familiarity with Texas Medicaid/Medicare systems and local healthcare networks.
Schedule

This facility operates 24/7/365. This full-time position requires working days, evenings, as well as weekends and holidays. Specific hours will be determined by the facility needs. On-call availability is not required.

Physical Requirements

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking or jogging over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment.
